The Mixed Day league is a season-long, daytime (12:30 pm) competition divided into two halves, as follows:
The Hubert (Dodd) Gray Competition , October to December , honors Doddy Gray , WWII veteran and a past President of M.W.C.C. Doddy curled at M.W.C.C. for many years and contributed greatly to the club’s success. Doddy passed away in 2011.
The Walter (Mickey) Laughlin Competition , January to April , honors Mickey Laughlin, a WWII veteran. Mickey curled at M.W.C.C. for many years and contributed greatly to the development of Junior curling at the Montreal West and Longue Pointe curling clubs. Mickey passed away in 2012.
Interclub – League members are also eligible to participate is a 26-game interclub competition against other curling clubs in the Montreal area.
District Bonspiels – The league hosts three district bonspiels (Nov, Feb, Mar) with teams competing from various clubs in Quebec and Ontario.
Previous experience is not necessary , learning clinics and instructions are available at no cost.
