Our Annual Golf Tournament at Caughnawaga Golf Club was held on October 3rd.

October 3rd was the day the groundskeepers at the Caughnawaga Golf Club were not looking forward to. Would their nice fairways and greens ever be the same again?

Even the squirrels had a meeting. They decided the safest place for them would be the centre of the fairways.

It was a little windy and cool but all 46 golfers who had committed to play showed up and played despite the groundskeepers’ efforts to make them believe the course was closed.

65 showed up for the dinner at the club. The groundskeepers were not invited. A few of the squirrels were seen trying to cross the Mercier Bridge on their way to the dinner but they lost their way amongst all of the pylons along the way.

Lowest score was Team Fraser – (Brett Fraser, Erica Didonato, Sean Fraser and Mario)
Closest to the Pin – Brian Williams
Putting Contest – Trevor Murray

The dinner was excellent with the steaks grilled by our President Mark Romer, Past President Rob Williams and Vice President Greg Stachura.
