On May 4th, club members came together to celebrate the end of the curling season and raise a cheer for the winners of our various league competitions and bonspiels. Our closing dinner followed with plenty of good cheer.

The 2019 Doubles Competition had a great turnout this year, with 18 teams comprised of 38 players! Congratulations to all the competitors.

The 2019 Lyle Bradford Calcutta was a successful event featuring a roster of 12 teams and numerous owners. In the A final Team Watson overcame Team Cadorette to walk away with the top prize.

The Vice President’s Bonspiel was held on January 3rd, 2019 and the 36 participants were eager to start the new year on our newly resurfaced ice sheets. Curlers of all ages from our day and evening leagues participated in the 2 game x 4 end draw format.

The 2018 Turkey Shoot was held on December 17th and we had a tremendous turnout with 62 members from all our house and competitive leagues.

The Rock for Kids benefit show took place at MWCC on Saturday November 17th as an exciting and unique fundraiser for Kurling for Kids! The goal was to raise at least $700 but after all was sung and done, we raised a total of $1,200!

In the annual ARCM Grand Match & Grand Dame event last Saturday, 9 MWCC teams competed at home and away. Our 3 women’s teams posted a 2-0-1 record and finished 2nd overall out of 15 teams! Congratulations!
