The Karl Murovic Classic was first organized as an open tournament in 2023. It is named in honour of our former iceman who served the club for over a decade. Karl was both a master ice technician and a former competitive curler who represented Quebec twice at the Brier (1978 & 1981). Le Classique Karl Murovic est nommé en l’honneur de notre ancien technicien de glace qui a servi le club pendant plus d’une décennie. Karl était à la fois un maître technicien des glaces et un ancien joueur de curling de compétition qui a représenté le Québec à deux reprises au Brier (1978 et 1981).

A full roster of eighteen teams competed for cash and glory in the inaugural edition of the KM Classic. Congratulations to Team Marc Philion [Mark Philion, Daniel Philion, Steven Fagen, and Alex Patton] who won in the final over skip Maria Brown’s team [Earl Lasalle, John Michalovic, Alisha Michalovic, and Mike Marak].
