Event Outline
On Friday night, players will be invited by small groups to step on the ice. With our instructors’ help, they will practice the sliding technique in three points.
On Saturday morning, players will be placed into groups according to affinities and skill level. By the end of the day, the most courageous (and in shape!) will be allowed to practice or play. The instructors will stay on site to give help, if needed.
On Sunday, skill development will continue and be reinforced through video analysis and simulated games
Content of workshops
Technique (on ice): maximum 6 players for 1 coach
- Sliding in three points
- Pushing out, balance, delivery axis
- Delivering stones, weight control
- Warm up and cool down
- Directional sweeping
Comprehension (off ice) : group
- Curling rules
- Tactics and strategy
- Sweeping and communicating
- How to set up an end

All the instructors are certified coaches from Curling Canada National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and have been running this camp format for many years.
Even if the camp’s main language of instruction will be French, all the instructors are bilingual and can accommodate participants according to their language preference.
Emphasis is put on individual teaching, respecting every participant’s needs.
